Job Summary
We are looking for a Commis Pastry & Bakery Chef to join our professional kitchen team in Kuwait. The ideal candidate should have a genuine interest in pastry and bakery production, good knowledge of basic baking techniques, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced professional kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
Assist the Pastry Chef and senior kitchen team in daily pastry and bakery production.
Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, desserts, and other bakery products.
Assist with weighing, measuring, mixing, proofing, baking, decorating, and finishing products.
Follow standard recipes and maintain consistency in taste, quality, texture, and presentation.
Prepare and organise ingredients and equipment before production.
Maintain proper portion control and minimise food wastage.
Ensure all products are stored correctly and maintained at the required quality standards.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of workstations, equipment, and kitchen areas.
Follow HACCP, food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures.
Assist with stock rotation and monitor the freshness of ingredients.
Support the Pastry Chef during busy production periods and service.
Work effectively as part of a multicultural kitchen team.
Candidate Requirements
Previous experience as a Commis Pastry Chef / Commis Bakery Chef is preferred.
Basic knowledge of pastry and bakery preparation techniques.
Knowledge of breads, cakes, pastries, creams, fillings, and basic desserts is an advantage.
Relevant culinary or bakery qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
Good understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety.
Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Good teamwork, discipline, and willingness to learn.
GCC experience will be an advantage but is not mandatory.
